Cat obsessed
OK we have two cats. My cat Tomo – is 5 years old big maine coon boy! He is a loveable, talkative but weird cat. When my fiance and his old lady cat moved in – it really stressed out Tomo. He was the only kitty for so long AND he wasn’t used to sharing me with someone.
Now, let me introduce to you to Jody’s (my fiance) cat. Her name is Missy and is 14 year old cat who Jody adopted from a wild cat shelter in New Orleans about 4 years ago. She was a mother to baby wild cats – she littered a handful of wild kitties helping endangered cats!! She is VERY loveable but over protective of Jody. She also is a huge lap cat and head honcho over Tomo. Even though she is half his size!!
Now they have become more lovey dovey towards each other so we rewarded them with brand new beds! We bought two different kind of beds not knowing which one each would like. I have dealt with my parents’ pair of cats with beds and both usually fight for the same one while there is one empty -____-; Sooo I was worried but to my relief they loved the beds and picked one to their liking. After a day or two later we noticed they actually started to share and switch beds. They are not territorial! It was really cute how they switch from time to time!!!

Your cats are so cute! That’s good that they get along now, and I think it’s adorable that they don’t fight over the beds 🙂 I babysat a cat once that did the same thing as Tomo in that video. I couldn’t even go to the bathroom without him making noises and sticking his paws underneath the door, haha.
The only pets I have right now are aquatic turtles, 1 male and 2 females 🙂

@Cat, LOL Tomo would always follow me to the bathroom or shower. He talks sooo much so while I showered he would chirp and meow as if he was telling me about his day.
Oh I love turtles!!!! I always wanted turtles and lizards as pets!!!

Aww! I have two kitties of my own! Their names are Hex and Bishop. Hex’s real name is Hexadecimal and we just call Bishop, baby cat Lol She was only a week old when we found her and she’s full grown but so tiny. Your kitties are so cute! How did you get them to co-reside with one another? My cats can’t even be in the same room because they fight so much.

@Joy, It took the cats 2 years to finally get to the state of being on the same sofa or area!
Hex is such a cool name!! I would try to always sit between them and stroke both of them showing they are equal. We also feed them at the same time – it just really took time for Missy to be nice to Tomo.
Good luck – I know how stressful it can be when kitties fight!!! ;o;

Awwww they’re sooo cute <3 It must be tough with pets have to learn to share their owners with another pet!
I'm allergic to cats and my mom is terrified of animals, lol. So the only animals I could have were birds. I have a pet cockatiel and he is such an awesome parrot. He's super smart and fluffily cute. haha. His favorite past time is just sitting on my shoulder. Sometimes I wonder why he doesn't fly around and go do more exciting things rather than be with me XD

@Kim, I had a cockatiel as a kid as well!!! She was my first pet but didn’t like to be handled too much ;o;!!

Such cute cats you have, Mija! And they look so healthy and happy! 😀 It is a sign that they have been taken care of a very good owner (you and your fiance). Originally, I have 5 cats at home. But I only have three now. One of my cats, Sasuke, went out one day and never came home. I think someone stole him. This happened before but Sasuke manage to escape and came home after 3 months and he smelled so good (it shows that someone has been taking care of Sasuke really well). It has been around 6 months now and Sasuke is still gone. 🙁 Another one of my cats, Yachiru (http://www.rogue-dolls.com/photos/2-dolls/), died this year because of Parvovirus. 🙁 So now we are only left with 3 happy and healthy cats!

Oh no I am so sorry about Sasuke!!!! Biggest fear is losing a pet, I know its been 6 months but I hope he returns to you again! ;o;!!!!
I'm sorry about Yachiru, what a pretty kitty!!! I'm glad you still have 3 lovely cats!!! My parents seem to have gotten a new one this weekend. He is a bony stray - they took him to the vet, seems like he has a sore throat and has not been able to eat. They are nursing him back to help and named him Willow!

As you’ve experienced first-hand, I’m pretty much deathly allergic to cats. I really wish I wasn’t though ;__; because I find them adorable.

I love lap cats~~ And I’ve always thought it’s better to get a cat from a shelter unless you want a pedigree cat.

your cats seem so chill and relax! they’re super cute too. lol i was talking to my friend the other day..she told me she went to the store, bought the cat and then it was so feisty with her at home hahah! talk about change of personality. it’s cool you reward your cats with nice beds! it’s always nice to have pets that get along with each other. makes upkeep a lot easier lol

@Joyce, sometimes they are like that!! I had my cat since he was a few months old so he had time to adjust to my life.
There are times where he still wants to rough house and play but she is an old lady cat and has no time for his hyperness XD

Aww, you guys have such cute cats! I have 2 kitties as well: Shelly and Cooper. Shelly is a calico domestic shorthair, just like Missy, and Cooper is a Maine Coon mix :DI think Maine Coons are talkative in general, because Cooper definitely meows and chirps a lot more than Shelly.
Glad to hear they love each other! Unfortunately the relationship is kinda one-way in our household (Cooper loves Shelly!), but occasionally I’ll see them grooming each other 🙂

@Mija, And I still think Tomo is of the Ragdoll breed. -.- Just saying. Only his coat and eyes don’t match the breed at all so he must be a mix.

@monica-ai, this was my first time having 2 in one place!! It is different since Tomo is laid back and kinda chill while Missy is more of a lap cat!! Its fun to see them interact though!

Kitties! It’s great they get along! When my dog meets with my sister’s little dog, it gets really annoying D: The last time I met a cat, I wanted to hug her but she kept running away T^T ACtually, animals just don’t seem to like me D:

Aw, adorable cats! They remind me of this stray cat I used to adopt…in which she gave birth to 6 adorable black and white kittens (like cows lol) but my mom end up throwing them all away since she dislikes cats and they’re stray cats ;A; parents just don’t understand how to be nice sometimes ugh it pisses me off!
Anyway, Tomo’s jealousy over a newcomer reminds me of my dog haha; a spoiled one year old jack terrier who didn’t accept the arrival of a new chowchow puppy I once got (yeah, “GOT” …I had to return the puppy back to the breeder due to his eye problems ;A;)
Animals are really lovely! Too bad my parents dislike cats, they prefer small, fluffy, fat dogs (even though mine isn’t fat and small…meh it’s a fox hunting breed so it’s kinda tall,I guess)

@Shiki, Jack terriers are really cute! My uncle has one named Sam and he has the best temper! I never had a dog but maybe one day when I don’t live in a city I will get one!
Its funny how animals can be with other animals!! I never thought about animals reflecting jealously!! Its really very funny!
