Nintendo – how I love thee

So husband finally got his way – after months and months of asking I said ok to getting a WiiU. My mom laid the guilt trip on me asking why I wouldn’t agree to getting a WiiU. “Don’t you like Nintendo? Do you want to play cool games?!” Yes mom…I do ;o; The only reason I was fighting the idea of getting yet ANOTHER console is because we already have an unused PS3 and regular Wii we never turn on and we barely have played with our Xbox these past couple of months. Ok I lied – we use the PS3 for bluray movies ><;;!! My dude ran around town to find the WiiU bundle he wanted along with our friends Jeff and Paul. Jody bought Zombie U, Nintendo Land (came with bundle) and Monster Hunter. Yes that makes the 3rd Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate we have purchased (2 copies 3DS + WiiU game). It isn't the first time we have went overboard buying multiple copies of a game ><;;

Anyway, we played Nintendo Land for about 8 hours straight with some friends. Very addicting! Later that night Jody played Zombie U and I did jump alot – very scary XD All in all – I am impressed with the system. Even more excited at all the cross platform capabilities there could be. Rumors that Nintendo will be showing a trailer for Smash Brothers at E3! Hopefully this is too be cross platform between 3DS and WiiU!

Another game I am excited about is Animal Crossing! It drops on June 9th~!! Whoosh, Ginger has totally gotten me pumped for it, read her blog post about it! I do fear all of Monster Hunter time will be cut in half for this new cutesy game though!

Anyone excited about E3?! What are you looking forward to? The new scary Xbox One? O_o;; XD;;;;

    I rarely use my consoles now… but we still got a Wii U early on, haha. I haven’t used our Xbox in forevers, and our PS3 is mainly a blu-ray and streaming player now. On the plus side, getting a Wii U motivated me to go back and finish some Wii games.

    haha, your miis are cute! My miiverse name is puyoda btw! We should friend each other 🙂

    Nintendo Land is surprisingly fun! Our only other game right now is the Super Mario Bros one. I can’t wait for stuff like Bayonetta 2, the new Zelda games, and the Yoshi’s Island one.

    I used to be addicted to Animal Crossing! I’m still debating whether I should get the 3DS one, or if it’ll too much of a time sink for me.

    Haha your mom. She’s so cool she supports the purchase of a game console! If only my parents are that understanding too I might have PS3 in my house 😛 my mother doesn’t even let me have more than A console she sold my PS2 away and she said i either have a DS OR a PSP, not both. since I’m a SONY freak and I only use DS for ace attorney,pokemon and professor layton, I end up buying PSP after my DS broke :)) it was a right decision though *sony crazed*

    I’m more of a SONY person, I guess so the only nintendo thing that got me jumping in frenzy is probably thanks to pokemon. Lately though, the new pokemon games are getting weirder and weirder, right? My friends are laughing and complaining about the “revolution” and said that they prefer the old versions like sapphire or red/green better :)) faster game load/process too,they think.
    I’d definitely take the xbox and ditch the Wii though because well, hahaha I’m more of the…you know, sony games with crazy button pressing issue and such 😛

    I hope purchasing the Wii U was worth it! My boyfriend has it and he has Zombie U and Nintendo Land as well. Both are really great to play. 😀

    “Do you want to play cool games?!” That cracked me up so much! My mom doesn’t know anything about video games but she encourages me to play them whenever I’m bored, haha.

    I think I might end up buying the Wii U just for SSB, I got so excited when I saw the trailers! I find it hilarious that Wii Fit Trainer is one of the new characters.

    Our Wii’s been neglected for a while now, it’s so sad. But my brother and I started playing SSBB a lot so yay!

    Omg, I have Animal Crossing and it’s amazing! I haven’t been playing much since I got it on Tuesday because I’ve been so busy T________T

    Haha, I love how your mom is egging you on too, my mom would be the complete opposite… “NO VIDEO GAMES, YOU’RE TOO OLD” T^T But think of it as a good investment in fun and with spending time with people 😀 And omg Animal Crossing, I remember playing it on the DS and playing for long perioods of time ._.
