Obsession: My 3DS

I have been obsessing over my 3DS as of late. We have had them since September and I take mine everywhere. You never know when you’ll street pass with someone! This Christmas my sister Kim got me a clear case for my 3DS. I added some scrapbook paper and – tada! A whole new look!! Our mom got all of us (myself, my dude and my 2 younger sisters) new games for our DS and finally after finishing with pokemon white2 I have actually started to go through my new games.

Last week I started playing Super Mario Brothers 2, and on Thursday I beat the main story line of the game. I unlocked the star map and need more golden star coins to continue. I need to find someone who has the game to play it through co-op with me as Mario and Luigi!

Speaking of Luigi, Luigi’s Haunted Mansion is coming out soon, it is a great time to get a 3DS if you haven’t already. Amazing games are coming out including Animal Crossing: New Leaf, Monster Hunter 3, Smash Brothers and soo many more! If you can recommend any games please let me know!

I downloaded the original Tetris onto my 3DS. Made the airport tolerable on our way to Florida a few weeks ago. Speaking of Florida, going to Disney with your 3DS is amazing – we gain so many international miis while we were there both in October and a couple of weeks ago!

My obsession has gotten so bad, every time I am at a grocery store or restaurant and I see another person with a 3DS I get overly giddy and try to walk pass them to see if they have street pass on. I must look like a creeper passing by them multiple times trying to collect their mii.

Speaking of obsession, my dude has been playing Fire Emblem like crazy, I think he finally finished it. It is so funny, when I first met him he had the same blue DS Lite that I had and never played with it. Always kept it in a drawer but after we played some multi player games he started to actually bring his DS around and played. Now with his 3DS he is obsessed as I am!

1. My shiny new case from my sister Kim 2. My huge case set my sister Kat gave me 3. 3DS family. Blue XL: my dude | Teal: mine | Black: Kim’s | Purple: Kat’s 4. Right at the end of January I beat Pokemon White2!! 5. Collection of dude/my games 6. Finally reached 100 miis!! 7. I got my first mani/pedi and did my nails in mint apple – matches my 3DS! 8. I finally got to play Monster Hunter – the demo is out for download in the eshop 9. I made custom pokemon battle cards for some friends to use during training

Happy V-day

I came back home to Houston just in time to make/bring treats for co-workers for Valentine’s. I am super bad at baking, I leave that all to my youngest sister. Since I can’t bake end up doing the ole “I can dip things into chocolate.” It has officially been 1 year at my new job and this past Christmas I made pretzel rods for the new office.

So this time I decided to venture out and use smaller pretzels, strawberries and marshmallows. I made a few boxes of these for work, my dude and one for our youngest sister – Kat!

Valentine treats:

Thanks to Kim for staying up and helping me make these!

Happiest place on Earth

Oh lordy! Only after a few months we returned to Disney in Florida! Last time we spent Halloween at the magic kingdom – this time we went during Valentines!! So different depending on the time of year you go. Ok we went because my husband’s (weird to say hubby XD) brother wanted to get married at Disney. His new wife is a huge Disney fan as well so the location was perfect!!

In October we stayed at the Animal Kingdom Lodge in a great room but this time we stayed with my father-in-law in a 2 story suite at the Polynesian! Whoa what a difference. We will never be able to stay in such a sweet room so I did a few videos on the room. We also had personal spread every morning for breakfest, a snack spread, dinner spread and lastly a treat spread with sweets with wine. Sigh – I gained about a billion pounds from this trip lol.

1. Shawn and Stephanie walking down as man & wife! 2. Main Street at night with Cinderella’s Castle 3. Epcot is so cool at night 4. Emolga plushie at Japan in Epcot, they had a huge pokemon section but no Victini stuff ;o; 5. Hubby with his nephew and the one in blue is hubby’s lil bro 6. Treats at our hotel – every night a different set of sweets! 7. Tangle tower, they are adding Rapunzel’s section to the new Fantasy-land 8. My lil bro-in-law showing that he likes spanish 9. My dude bought me new ears!

First morning waking up we had Lilo and Stitch come by and conga with all the kids – so cute. I love Stitch, he is also a good dancer, here he is dancing to the cupid shuffle. Right before our trip Vine came out for iphones – have you guys seen this app yet? I am obsessed and going on a trip was perfect excuse to use it. If you have it look me up at MIJAVERA. So click on the links through out the post for short videos.

Back to the wedding part. They had a ceremony with a judge, the alter has a huge window that shows the magic kingdom behind them, so dreamy!! Right after we had a limo take us to the Floridian for cake and champagne. That night we had fruit and sweets at Epcot with a front row view of the firework show: Reflections. All in all a great weekend and very romantic how Disney put a wedding together.

I already miss walking down Main Street U.S.A! I hope to return one day when they finish with the Tangled tower.

Honeymoon : Disney World!

I haven’t really talked about my honeymoon, DISNEY WORLD! I have never ever been to Disney World or Land…we arrived in Orlando and the Mickey Magical Express greeted us and took us to our “home” for the week! We stayed at the lovely Animal Kingdom Lodge which was amazing – we had wild animals right outside our balcony!! We arrived around 8pm so we were hungry and beat. Right when you arrive to the hotel they give you your keys to Disney. They also ask you if there is a special occasion for the visit. Hell yes: Marriage and this is my first visit! And bamm they slap you with buttons!! Oh these buttons – if you wear these the staff are super friendly. Which brings me to the next bit. Our first morning at Disney.

I couldn’t sleep that night, I woke up at 4am. Showered, got ready and by 6am I was trying to make noise just so my husband could wake up. I was like a kid: excited, hyper and for some reason nervous!! I noticed we had a voice mail on the room phone from some special people! By 7am we were on our way. We waited for our bus to take us to the Magic Kingdom. As we were waiting there was a gentleman in a suit (manager of the hotel) – he greeted us with a “congrats” and also saw I had “first visit” button. I asked for suggestions on what to visit first at the Magic Kingdom and he proceeded to ask if we had tickets to the Not So Scary Halloween Party. Jody wanted to get them but they were pricey and we really couldn’t afford it. So he thought for a moment and took us back inside the hotel. He gave us free tickets to the event! “Disney’s wedding gift to the new couple!” – I immediately started crying and hugged him. He started to tear up and said that he wasn’t expecting such an emotional response. But seriously, as a little girl I wished and hoped to come here and had a lot of expectations about the park and even before we left the hotel we already felt the magic!

On our way to the Magic Kingdom – I based all my Magic Kingdom knowledge on an old vhs called Sing Along Songs – Disneyland Fun from 1989. The quote from me during this week was “JODY – just like my vhs!!!” Even when my sisters called I would tell them “Just like our VHS!!!!!” Oh yes we wore the Bride and Groom Mickey Ears Hats!!

I won’t go into every detail but in short – I cried….alot. I cried when I saw the castle up close, I cried when I walked on Main Street and when I took a picture by Walt Disney’s stature. I also stalked all the princesses I could to take a picture with them!! The Halloween event was breath taking!! Its after hours at the park – massive dance with the villains, trick or treat with characters, amazing parade with characters in costume and soooooo much candy! At the last day of our trip, Jody surprised me with a Lady (from Lady and the Tramp) plushie/pillow!! He got himself a Stitch one! What dude can go around parading with a Stitch plush? I am in love ;o;!!!

Okay so our honey moon was during Halloween and now we are going again this weekend! Why so soon? Jody’s oldest brother is getting married there! So we had so use some wedding money this time to go – but we are very excited! I really had no idea that after 27 years of never going to Disney that I would be going twice in such a short time! We have reservations at the Be Our Guest restaurant so we are excited!

I leave you with Stitch doing Gangnam Style. More random videos here.
